CONWAY — Area golfers are invited to tee-it-up at North Conway Country Club on Friday, Aug. 21 to benefit Operation Hat Trick (OHT), a non-profit organization established to generate awareness of, and provide support and funding for the recovery of America's wounded war Veterans.
The tournament format will be a two-player team scramble with prizes to be awarded to first and second place finishers (both gross and net), compliments of Varsity Beverage (Pepsi) and New Hampshire Distributors.
Additional prize opportunities include closest-to-the-pin on all par 3s, putting contest (OHT-style), long drive contest and an opportunity to win a UTV valued at $21,000 for a hole-in-one on hole No. 13 compliments of Profile Powersports and Chalmers Insurance Group.
Registration will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. An award's luncheon will begin immediately after completion of the day's competition.
Operation Hat Trick's fundraising efforts are dedicated to the memory of Nate Hardy and Mike Koch, two Navy Seals who gave their lives in 2008 during a direct action raid in Iraq against an Al-Qaeda cell. These two American heroes had trained together, fought together and are now buried together in Arlington National Cemetery.
